Ever since I was a little kid, around 7 or 8 years old, the word "chicharrón" (pork rinds) has been a special word of affection between my best friend and one of my brothers. Over the years, it became a way for me to show love and affection to people who are special to me.
But how did this word become the name of my ASMR community?
Well, it all started back in 2020, during the pandemic. I started doing YouTube livestreams where I played the popular game Among Us with my subscribers.
Whenever I was the Impostor, some of my subscribers would cheat by watching the livestream to figure out who the Impostor was. So, whenever they did that, I started calling them "cochinos" (pigs), basically telling them they were being little cheaters!
In some Latin American countries, "cochino" (pig) is another word for "cerdo" (pig). And since "chicharrón" (pork rinds) is made from pork, the connection was already there!
For a while, I started calling my subscribers "cochinos" (pigs) and "Nicochinos" (a playful combination of Nico and pigs). Eventually, I started calling them "cochinitos" (little pigs).
Then, one day, I called them "chicharroncitos" (little pork rinds), almost as another way of saying little pigs.
And just like that, the name was born!
From that moment on, "Chicharroncitos" became the official name of my community.
So now you know the story! That's who we are, and that's why we're called the Chicharroncitos. ❤️🐷
